El Duende Magazine
Art direction, UI/UX & Development
Culture, music, art and leisure in Madrid
The cultural magazine El Duende was first published in May 1998 and is distributed in more than 700 points in Madrid.
From physical to digital format

We helped the magazine to develop a digital product that was close in concept to the physical format. A portal full of multicultural content that helped us to create a much more current and dynamic proposal.

We focused on solving three main challenges: segmenting the topics through categorization, encouraging reading thanks to a much more expressive and illustrative visual proposal, and turning the website into a cultural space of reference.

A design thought out front and back

One of the main requirements was to facilitate the updating and flexibility of the contents, being able to differentiate them not only by theme (plans, routes and magazine), but also by type of content.

All managed through a fully customized WordPress CMS that allows the client to create content at will without compromising the design.

A visual with more flow for cool people

With a clear predisposition towards the urban and aimed primarily at a young audience, we opted for a look & feel unbridled, that moved through areas close to music or fashion and that connected emotionally with the target audience.
