BBVA Open Innovation, a fintech ecosystem for investors & startups.

BBVA Open Innovation is the bridge between BBVA and the fintech ecosystem, through which they strengthen ties with growing companies to help them consolidate and bring their innovations to the bank.

Our mission was to create a web platform to manage all relevant content of the bank’s fintech ecosystem, as well as events from different business units.

We focused on two fundamental requirements: the need for the BBVA Open Innovation team to generate content in an agile, flexible, and scalable manner, and for the design to adapt perfectly to that content regardless of their needs at any given time, allowing them to create events, news, or new sections in the desired order without compromising the design.

The direct relationship between BBVA Open Innovation and the innovation sector, and considering that the business objectives differed from other more cross-sectional bank products, allowed us to explore beyond the usual style and be more disruptive without losing the essence.

Our value proposition aimed to find the perfect balance between functionality and aesthetics, with a simple, intuitive, and agile navigation structure that relied on an attractive and modern visual design system.
